This is a premium Axe Target and a much desired end grain wood target that helps you fine tune your skills.
The target is made from 49 blocks of Douglas Fir. We use professional
high quality water resistant glue to join the blocks creating a very durable and solid target.. The only metal in the entire piece is the eye bolts on the top for you to hang your target and several small nails to assist in adhering the frame. All of these are at least 1 1/2" deep so there is little chance of your blade hitting them.
The overall target size is 27" x 27", the target area is approximately 24" x 24 and it is an impressive 4" thick.
We leave this target plain on both sides so you can draw what ever target area you like. We use a heavy duty permanent marker to draw ours.
This target weighs about 60 pounds, heavy and solid. Each target measurements will vary slightly.
The end grain design is easy on your axes or knives and considered self healing, minimizing splintering.
To hang your target we have included two eye bolts to attach to the top of the target. This target can handle some light rain but we suggest you do not leave it in the rain.
