This Axe Target is a much desired end grain wood target that helps you fine tune your skills.
The target is made from 36 blocks of Douglas Fir. We use professional
high quality water resistant glue to join the blocks creating a very durable and solid target.. The only metal in the entire piece is the eye bolts on the top for you to hang your target and several nails to assist in adhering the frame. All of these are at least 1 1/2" deep so there is little chance of your blade hitting them.
Our Axe target has a 3 1/2" red bullseye, 4" with the black border. The next ring is 12" and the outside one 20". You can touch up the target rings with any permanent marker. The back side of the target is plain so you can draw your own target.
The target area height is 20 1/2" and 23 1/2" with the frame. The target width is 19 1/2" and 22 1/2" with the frame.
This target weighs about 40 pounds, heavy and solid. Each target measurements will vary slightly.
The end grain design is easy on your axes or knives and considered self healing, minimizing splintering.
To hang your target we have included two eye bolts to attach to the top of the target. This target can handle light rain but we suggest you do not leave it in the rain.
