A great all wood knife throwing target. It has much desired end grain that is easier on your knives and considered self healing.
We use permanent markers to draw the target on one side of the board.
Easy for you to touch up if needed. The center red bullseye is 2"
across and the next ring is at 5".
We leave the other side of the board 100% natural to make it easy for
you to draw additional targets. Both sides of this target can be used.
This target measures 11 1/2" wide, 11 1/4" tall and 3" thick. The hanging eye
bolt on the top adds another 1 1/2". This target weighs almost 8
pounds. Each target measurements will vary slightly.
We make our targets from Douglas Fir. We use professional
high quality water resistant glue. The only metal in the entire piece is the eye bolt on the top for you to hang your board and a couple of nails in the frame, they won't damage your knives.
The end grain design is easy on your knives and aids in your knives sticking in the board.
To hang your target drive any large nail or spike into a tree and you are ready to go. It will also stand on his own or can be leaned against something. One guy we know ties a rope on the eye bolt, hangs it from a tree and lets it swing back and forth as he tries to "hit the moving target". While this target can handle some light rain we suggest you do not leave it in the rain.
