A great all wood knife throwing target. It has much desired end grain that is easier on your knives. This is a Dual Target Design giving you two target areas on one side and plain on the other side. This allows two people to throw at the target one aiming for the top the other for the bottom. The center circle is about 2" we count this at 50 points, the next ring at 5" is 25 points and the outside ring at 10" for 10 points. Everything else is 5 points. When we play a game if the person hits the wrong target those points count for the other person. We usually play to 300 points.
We make our targets from Douglas Fir. We use professional
high quality water resistant glue. The only metal in the entire piece is the eye bolt on the top for you to hang your board and a few nails, centered to hold the frame in place.
This target measures 11 1/2" wide, 21 1/2" tall and 3" thick. The hanging eye bolt on the top adds another 1 1/2". This target weighs almost 14 1/2 pounds. Each target measurements will vary slightly.
The end grain design is easy on your knives and aids in your knives sticking in the board. We leave the board 100% natural to make it easy for you to draw on your own targets like a bullseye. Both sides of this target can be used.
To hang your target drive any large nail or spike into a tree and you are ready to go. It will also stand on his own or can be leaned against something. One guy we know ties a rope on the eye bolt, hangs it from a tree and lets it swing back and forth as he tries to "hit the moving target". While this target can handle some light rain we suggest you do not leave it in the rain.
